One of my top picks for 2011, if not the last decade. Provocative, powerful and subtle, An Anatomy of a Disappearance is a beautifully written book, wrought with suspicion and guilt. Matar manages to capture the ambiguous emotions felt by his main character; the confusion and reality of losing an always distant father while lusting after the woman he married. I would highly recommend this book, especially to those wanting something with a different cultural aspect or just an amazing read. Enjoy! -  Anne
