Former Arizona Highways director of photography Peter Ensenberger signs copies of his new book, Focus On Composing Photos. Learning composition is the single most important aspect of making great pictures, no matter what level of skill you have. He breaks down everything you need to know into small, digestible chunks, supplementing the necessary information with tons of gorgeous full color images that show you what to do and how to do it.

ABOUT PETER ENSENBERGER
Throughout his photographic career, Peter Ensenberger has crossed boundaries to explore different styles and diverse subjects. After studying fine art photography in college, he went on to win awards as a staff photojournalist for several newspapers. More recently, he served 25 years as Director of Photography for Arizona Highways, the award-winning nature and travel magazine. He left Arizona Highways in 2009 to devote full time to his own photography business. Peter resides in Tempe where he is a freelance photographer for Black Star, an international photo agency based in New York City. Corporate and editorial assignments make up the bulk of his work, with an emphasis on travel and lifestyle. In addition, he and his wife, Kim, own and operate Photo Tours Unlimited, a photography-travel business offering customized photo instruction on location. Together, they lead individuals and small groups on photography workshops to the Southwest’s most beautiful and interesting places.
