WORKSHOP: FEMS WITH PENS 5-6:15PM
A six-session workshop for girls ages 13-18 in which members write fiction and nonfiction based on a variety of exercises, then discuss and edit each other’s work. Led by former copy editor and New Times freelancer Tricia Parker, a poet and writer who is pursuing her MA in Literature at ASU. Parker currently teaches 10th and 11th grade honors English and runs the annual poetry contest at Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix. COST: $60 for six sessions. Meets Mondays through 3/15 (except 2/15). Registration and pre-payment required at 480.730.0205.
