Jodi Marie Johnson hosts a food tasting, celebrates the centennial anniversary of Arizona, and presents her new memoir and cookbook Back Roads, Dead Cats and What's for Dinner: Growing Up in the Olden Days in Arizona and New Mexico.
Johnson, whose family has lived in Arizona for six generations, shares tales of travels on old Southwestern railways and highways, home-cooked meals in long-gone cafés, and the resurrection of a beloved "dead" cat. She also muses on what made life precious in Arizona four decades ago, stories of her much earlier ancestors, and beloved family recipes.
