Meet Iron Man Jason Lester 7pm Thursday, September 9 Iron Man Jason Lester, winner of ESPN's 2009 ESPY Award for Best Disabled Male Athlete, presents Running on Faith: The Principles, Passion, and Pursuit of a Winning Life. Lester should be dead. In his 34 years he has survived more trials, endured more horrors and surmounted more obstacles than would fit in a Hollywood film. After each upset, letdown, and setback Lester has recommitted himself to pursuing his dream of becoming an accomplished athlete, despite his disability (Lester has one arm). In 2008, he became the first person with a disability to complete the Ultraman (a double Iron Man). With the use of only three limbs he biked, swam, and rode 320 miles to the finish line to set a world record. In Running on Faith, Lester shares the ten lessons that he lives every day, which led him to achieve his dreams and find his calling. | TICKETS (free with book purchase) will be called alphabetically to fill seats and will also be used to form the booksigning line.
