![]() ABOUT BRUCE NELSON Award winning actor/filmmaker Bruce Nelson is a local artist with a credible reputation as a producer and performer throughout the theater and film industry in Arizona. Nelson work for six years as Artistic Director for LA Free Clinic’s Project ABLE where he wrote a series of one act plays. His one-act play Anansi and The Sky God was an official selection of The Last Frontier Theater Conference in 2009. His first Short Story The Porch: The Hangin Man that he turned into a short film, entitled Raglin Tales Chapter 3, was an official selection of the Arizona Black Film Showcase and the Phoenix Film Festival. Nelson’s vocals were featured on Jazz Antiqua’s Midtown Sunset CD recording, he has often been referred to as the voice of Jazz Antiqua. His recent production of “Simply Sammy,” a musical celebration of Sammy Davis Jr., had great success produced at the Desert Foothills Theater. He was nominated for AriZoni Awards for choreographing Fame the Musical, at Desert Foothills Theater. Nelson’s film acting credits include: No Code Of Conduct, Blind Eye, Arizona Summer, Neatherbeast Incorporated, and Take Me Home Tonight. |
