WORKSHOP - THE POETICS OF PLACE 1-3PM
Arizona Commission on the Arts Poet in the Schools Rita Maria Magdaleno, author of Marlene Dietrich, Rita Hayworth, and My Mother, leads a narrative poetry workshop. Explore poetry drawn from memory and oral history, from family and historical photos, and discover language that’s clear, concrete and appealing to the senses. Participants will write a first draft of two new poems. (Please bring one or two family photos that inspire a story.) COST: $25. Registration and pre-payment required at 480.730.0205.
