 One of the perks of working at a bookstore is the privilege of reading books before they are released to the public. Because of this, our staff has read advanced copies of books that include Twilight, When You Reach Me, Hunger Games and many others --all before they reached the public's radar.
Are you interested in reading books before they are released to the public? If you are between the ages of 12-17 then consider joining B.I.T. : Before It's Trendy. B.I.T. is our young adult galley reading group. You get access to our galleys (advanced readers copies) and in exchange for the books, we ask that you write a recommendation for the book, which should be under 100 words. If your recommendation is published, not only will it be placed in our teen section and around the store, but you will also receive trade credit.
What's the catch? Well, we have a limited number of books, and therefore, a limited number of spots. Stop by Changing Hands and pick up an application. Applications must include a 100-word review of your favorite book. |
