→ GIFT RECEIVER / MERCHANDISER

CHBThe Receiver's job is a multifaceted one, the focus of which is the accurate physical receiving and pricing of product in order to maintain the integrity of the inventory control system and store profitability. The Receiver also monitors purchase orders, manages special orders and vendor records, and restocking and merchandising of products. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to create aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching displays​ and plays a role in the overall appearance of the ​gift items in the ​store​s​ — from making sure the store is correctly stocked, to overseeing product presentation​.​ You'll play an integral role in helping our ​customers find exactly what they need, right when they need it. Receiver reports to Gift Buyer.
HOURS +/- 30 per week, adjustable seasonally
SCHEDULE Must be flexible and available to work weekends. Also should be able to work at both our locations — Phoenix and Tempe.
Responsibilites include, but are not limited to:
  • Attention to detail
  • Physical receiving of all merchandise
  • Receiving of all Purchase orders on Booklog POS
  • Pricing all merchandise as directed by Store Gift Buyer
  • ​Ensuring the store is well ​stocked and ​merchandised and neat at all times
  • Maintaining accurate pricing
  • Monitoring status of Purchase Orders, their timely arrival, back orders, cancellations, and price changes
  • Assisting Gift Buyer with invoice and packing list discrepancies as necessary
  • Managing Special Orders including identification upon arrival, customer notification
  • Contacting vendors with any descriptions and/or damages.
  • Returning all defective, damaged, or unwanted product in a timely fashion
  • Assisting with quarterly section maintenance and annual physical inventory
  • Training an assistant who will perform your job functions in your absence
  • Troubleshooting and solving problems as they arise
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned by Gift Buyer or management
  • Cooperating with all staff, vendors and outside service representatives
  • Attending store meetings as scheduled
  • Maintaining an organized and neat work space and assisting with housekeeping as required including cleaning sales floor displays
  • Assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
