7PM FRIDAY, AUGUST 10
Author Photo

Writer Victor Bradford recites poetry and portions of his short story collection Old Man Day.

Victor's inspiration comes from real-life events and imagination gained from listening to tall tales his whole life. Open reading follows.

Old Man Day revolves around a 10 year old boy and an old man living in the late 1960's in a farming community in the panhandle of Texas. The best fiction is swallowed up by truth so this story has a feel to it that will elate and also give heartbreak and make the listener believe it all is 100% true. Vic's recitation comes from the heart, and the story is of the innocence of youth and the hard realities of the late 1960's in rural Texas.
