Whether you are outlining a book proposal or gathering stories for loved ones, you'll learn how to tackle large and small projects in a classic writing workshop setting and leave class with a plan designed to keep you going. This class is meant for those pursuing memoir and other creative non-fiction projects.

AMY SILVERMAN is an independent journalist based in Tempe. Her work has appeared in ProPublica, Literary Hub, Salon, The New York Times and other places, including the radio show This American Life. Her book, "My Heart Can't Even Believe It: A Story of Science, Love and Down Syndrome," was published by Woodbine House in 2016. Amy is the co-founder of the monthly storytelling series Bar Flies and the long running workshop Mothers Who Write. She has a masters degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
