The founder of the Phoenix Poetry Series and three-time Pushcart nominee hosts a two-part creative writing workshop on flash memoir.
In the first session, she walks participants through reading and discussing several works of flash memoir, teaches an in-class writing exercise, and concludes with a take-home writing prompt. In the second session, she helps participants workshop their writing prompts and offers individualized feedback focusing on a wide range of issues such as style, voice, pacing, detail, development, diction, and syntax.

ROSEMARIE DOMBROWSKI, PhD, is the co-founder of the Phoenix Poetry Series, a poetry editor for the Phoenix-based literary magazine Four Chambers
, and a Lecturer of English at ASU's Downtown Phoenix campus. Her first collection, The Book of Emergencies
— a poetic memoir of her experiences with her severely autistic son — was published by Five Oaks Press in 2014 and was nominated for three Pushcart prizes. Rosemarie Dombrowski is the inaugural Poet Laureate for the City of Phoenix.
