This workshop will be hosted online as part of our virtual event series.
You needn’t be an expert artist OR writer to participate in this workshop, which will merge lecturing, demonstrating, and workshopping to make you fall in love with doodling. Working with prompts, we will make marks on paper. And laugh.
Co-Hosted by Fly Paper.
For information about participating in our virtual workshops, please see our FAQ page.

Rebecca Fish Ewan, a poet/cartoonist/writer, is a doodle evangelist with a particular call to bring drawing to writers (and other word lovers!), many of whom are drawing-shy, despite the fact they hold pens and pencils and use them to mark-up paper way more than most human beings on Earth. The founder of Plankton Press, Rebecca teaches landscape architecture at Arizona State University (her creative writing MFA home). Her cartoon/poetry memoir, By the Forces of Gravity
, is her love letter to a childhood best friend lost to violence. Her new book, Doodling for Writers
, released in October 2020 through Books by Hippocampus. You can connect with her at rebeccafishewan.com or on IG @doodlescriptorium
