LOCATION: ONLINE

YOUNG PEOPLE WRITE is a series of virtual writing workshops for teens ages 13 to 17!
Participants write fiction, nonfiction, and poetry through a variety of exercises, then discuss and edit each other's work in a creative and supportive environment.

Popular young adult novelist Laurie Stolarz presents the four-session workshop "Finding One's Voice."

Writers hear it time and time again: one of the key elements in compelling fiction is a strong narrative voice. But what does that really mean? Where does voice come from? And how can we develop the voices of our characters more? In this workshop, we will delve into our characters’ motivations and backstories to find their unique voices, and to understand the role voice plays in creating compelling work.

For information about participating in our virtual workshops, please see our FAQ page.
