Poet Cynthia Schwartzberg Edlow hosts a two-part creative writing workshop on poetry.
This two-part workshop focuses on the most powerful and perennial elements of poems and poetry writing. These elements include the line, the sentence (and the relationship between these two), rhythm, diction (or word choice), tone and imagery. In session one, students discuss and practice these elements along with selected poem handouts from the instructor. In session two, students return with a newly drafted poem to workshop.
Beginners are welcome, as well as participants who have had some prior experience in writing poetry or in other poetry workshops.
