Two authors from Rare Bird Publishers present their new books.

Claudia White presents her first book for middle readers, AESOP'S SECRET. Melinda and Felix have just been told that they have inherited the talent of metamorphosis. Melinda embraces her heritage, but her older brother Felix doesn't, and resents becoming parts of the myths and fables he's read. Now there's a threat rising, bent to driving their kind back underground, just as the children are learning of their talents. Lorraine Holnback Brodek also presents her memoir A NOBODY IN A SOMEBODY WORLD: MY HOLLYWOOD LIFE IN BEVERLY HILLS. She goes behind the scenes of show biz with her husband, who produced two (bad) B-movies with Oscar-winning stars, and by relieving embarrassments like her loss on a popular television game show.

CLAUDIA WHITE wrote her three novels while living in Oxfordshire, England and Oakville, Ontario. A recognized expert in daydreaming, she has at last been prodded by her young audiences to record her imagined worlds on paper. White has written professionally for more than 20 years; her novels include Key to Kashdune and Servalius Window.

LORRAINE HOLNBACK BRODEK grew up in Beverly Hills, and currently lives in Studio City.
