Desert Botanical Garden: "Design Your Garden for Year-round Enjoyment"

The Desert Botanical Gardens' Angelica Elliott, Tina Wilson, and Luana Vargas teach the key adaptations of desert plant species, and share a palette that can add color and sustainability to your own garden.

Luana Vargas, editor of Desert Landscape School: A Guide to Desert Landscaping and Maintenance, will also offer practical information on how to plant a tree that will add value and beauty to your garden for years to come. Workshop participants will get a copy of the book and have an opportunity to learn and ask questions to the editor and two of the experts who worked on the book.

Southwest Gardener's plant sale follows this workshop in the Commons at the Newton from noon til 3pm.
