Poet Kelly Nelson leads a two-part creative writing workshop.
Think of this two-part workshop as a maker space where you’ll be playing with existing texts to create new work. Each night we’ll experiment with several different techniques and you’ll leave with more techniques to try on your own. By re-mixing, sculpting and combining these existing lines, we’ll transform them into something new. These techniques can be used to create found or experimental work, to jump-start your creative process, or to strange up the language in your own poems. All ages, experience levels and genres welcome. Bring paper and pencil.
