Natalie D. Richards is a real genius in my opinion. I can totally relate to this book, even though I’ve never had to go to the forest with the people I hate most and have basically everything go wrong. I loved how the classic tech kid is the main character. I really like this book because I love books about the forest. They always reel you in with their unpredictable content! My favorite part is when they all got stalked by a maniac moose. It has comedy, adventures, plot twists and crazy burns, the best mash-up.  -Lamia, 10

Reading SPARKLE made my heart expand for people that get unexpected diseases. I can’t believe how brave Sparkle was when she was battling her diagnosis, while still trying to pursue her dreams! While I was reading my heart skipped a beat when Sparkle realized she was still beautiful. LIKE A CHARM features a very independent girl—Ramya, my favorite character—who feels alone. It makes me cringe because she is NOT alone. Her grandfather left her a peculiar book when he died. Suspicious, huh? All it says in the book is beware of the Sirens. Creepy, huh? She feels that she is the only person who can carry on her grandfather's work to rewrite the stories of the hidden creatures (Sprites, Sirens, Fae, Vampires, etc.) that only she can see. That's a lot of pressure to put on one kid.  -Lamia, 10

An unexpected plot twist made this amazing book even better.  -Vivian, 12

They travel the world in time from Pompeii 72 AD to 19th century New York, and who wouldn’t love to go on that ride? This is—unlike its cover—a very friendly story stating what happens to you after you die. I really liked that the main character, Alice, is a “Wiz at fixing things.” For fun, Alice fixes the neighboring house to its former glory, which just happens to have four ghost—all with unfinished business (UB). UB made me laugh because it can be as simple as not returning a library book. Alice takes her time finishing all the ghosts’ UB. I enjoyed the wonderful parts when the author takes the reader into Alice’s mind, where her ancestors’ personalities from both sides shape Alice’s thoughts. I thought it was very interesting to read all of the creative things that the author came up with. Although the book is only 222 pages long, it is filled with romance, suspense, tragedy, and . . . secrets.  -Lamia, 10

To start off, this book is amazing. You may wonder what this book is about. Well, obviously I'm not going to spoil anything, but this is a book that you HAVE TO read. You follow the story of Momo Arashima in her epic journey with some of her friends, and what a journey it is. Momo is just a normal kid, but of course, things have to take a turn. The author did somewhat relate the book to herself with her having samurai history in her family. Overall, I would recommend this book to my friends and many other people.  -James, 13

I liked this book because I like basketball, and I'm a girl that plays basketball like the characters in the book. This book was inspired by a true story, which is pretty cool. Judy is a cheerleader who decides that she wants to play basketball instead, which makes her friends mad. I felt excitement and suspense when I was reading about the final game! If you like sports, you will love this book!  -Ofelia, 9

HOOPS is a very good book because it has good arguments about the girls and boys basketball teams. One reason I like it is because it's about basketball, my second favorite sport. The second reason is that the girl's team never gives up and keeps on trying. The third reason is because a girl follows her dream even when it's hard to do (her friends do cheer, not basketball). I think you'd like this book if you like sports and I hope you read it.  -Michaela, 8

I loved this book. I thought it was very heartfelt, and came together well. I loved the relationship that Bex and Davey had. I was shocked with what happened when Bex and Davey were talking to Elffie—or should I just say Bex? My favorite character just had to be Davey. I thought he was just the sweetest little brother and he was super understanding.  -Juliet, 11

This book is amazing—the setting, the characters and their stories—all of it! When reading this book, you may think there are some slow points in the action, but trust me, you need to read to the very end—the ending is always that best part of a book. In this book you follow the story of Zach and how he found a powerful ring that falls into the wrong hands. Zach embarks on his quest with a couple of his friends in order to save the world. After reading this book, I am now hoping that the author will write more books like this one.  -James, 13

Let me say that I LOVE Stuart Gibbs's books and this book does not disappoint. Personally, I love mystery books when you don't understand—or can't solve—the mystery. I am confused until the end, when the protagonist is confronting the villain and starts explaining how the villain almost pulled it off. The moment I read that I'm like, "How did I not notice that?!" Or I find that the most innocent person (that acted like they were on the good side) turned out to be the villain all along, and I'm like, "HOW?!?!" I guess I am trying to say, overall, I recommend this book to people that like to read mystery and crime novels.  -James, 13

When the Swifts' family reunion comes around, all main character Shenanigan wants to do is find the long-lost treasure her Grand-Uncle Vile hid. But when her aunt gets murdered, she is determined to get revenge. The author kept me guessing as to whether Shenanigan and her loyal family members would be able to figure it out, or if the murderer would be as lost as the treasure. I really liked this book because it had an extraordinary play on words, which made the family’s adventures and rules fun to read about. The pictures that the author was able to paint were mind-blowing. It kept me reading till the very last page. If you enjoy mystery, chemistry, and Scrabble, then this is a book you’ll never forget.  -Zooey, 12

For Henri Weldon, school has always been difficult. But this year it's even harder with her sister telling her who to be friends with and trying to juggle tutoring, soccer, and her social life. I enjoyed this book because it was really easy to relate to the descriptions of what it's like to be a kid.
