Stephanie Garber: Finale

IN CONVERSATION WITH SUZANNE YOUNG (GIRLS WITH SHARP STICKS)

PHOENIX | 7PM WEDNESDAY, MAY 8

Book CoverAuthor Photo
New York Times and internationally bestselling author Stephanie Garber discusses, with YA author Suzanne Young (Girls with Sharp Sticks), the third and final book in her #1 bestselling Caraval series.

A love worth fighting for. A dream worth dying for. An ending worth waiting for.

It's been two months since the Fates were freed from a deck of cards, two months since Legend claimed the throne for his own, and two months since Tella discovered the boy she fell in love with doesn't really exist.

With lives, empires, and hearts hanging in the balance, Tella must decide if she's going to trust Legend or a former enemy. After uncovering a secret that upends her life, Scarlett will need to do the impossible. And Legend has a choice to make that will forever change and define him.

Caraval is over, but perhaps the greatest game of all has begun. There are no spectators this time: only those who will win, and those who will lose everything. More »

To Night Owl From Dogfish

To Night Owl From Dogfish

by Holly Goldberg Sloan and Meg Wolitzer | Hardcover, $17.99 »

Avery Bloom, who's bookish, intense, and afraid of many things, particularly deep water, lives in New York City. Bett Devlin, who's fearless, outgoing, and loves all animals as well as the ocean, lives in California. What they have in common is that they are both twelve years old, and are both being raised by single, gay dads.

When their dads fall in love, Bett and Avery are sent, against their will, to the same sleepaway camp. Their dads hope that they will find common ground and become friends--and possibly, one day, even sisters.

But things soon go off the rails for the girls (and for their dads too), and they find themselves on a summer adventure that neither of them could have predicted. Now that they can't imagine life without each other, will the two girls (who sometimes call themselves Night Owl and Dogfish) figure out a way to be a family?

Club Read meets in both stores on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2pm. More info »
