There Will Be No Miracles Here

by Casey Gerald | Hardcover, $27.00 »

There Will Be No Miracles Here This is one of the best memoirs I have ever had the pleasure of picking up. It is insightful, clever and incredibly moving. It tackles issues of race, class, mental illness, homophobia and the destructive nature of the American Dream. I found myself thinking about it long after I finished it, which is how I know a book truly had an impact on how I think and feel about the culture I live in.  —Alex
